Elotuzumab (Emplicit)

Elotuzumab wird von Bristol-Myers Squibb hergestellt und ist ein seit 2015 in den USA und 2016 in der EU und der Schweiz zugelassener immunstimulierender und indirekt zelltoxischer monoklonaler Antikörper.  Der Handelsname der Immuntherapie lautet Emplicit.

Was ist Elotuzumab (Emplicit)?

Elotuzumab hat indirekt zelltoxische sowie immunstimulierende Wirkung und ist in Kombination mit Lenalidomid und Dexamethason zur Behandlung eines multiplen Myeloms zugelassen.

Wie wirkt Elotuzumab (Emplicit)?

Elotuzumab aktiviert die natürlichen Killerzellen (T-Zellen) und bringt sie mit den Zellen des Myeloms zusammen. Dies wird durch eine Bindung an das Protein SLAMF7 auf Killer- und Myelomzellen sowie eine Bindung an den Fc-Rezeptor der Killerzellen erreicht. Damit hat Elotuzumab einen zweifachen Wirkmechanismus.

Für welche Krebsarten ist Elotuzumab geeignet?

Bisher ist Elotuzumab In Kombination mit Lenalidomid und Dexamethason zur Behandlung eines multiplen Myeloms zugelassen.

Nebenwirkungen von Elotuzumab

Bei der Behandlung mit Elotuzumab kann als unerwünschte Nebenwirkung Lymphopenie auftreten.
